UNEARTH – Darkness In The Light / Artwork + Neuer Song Eyes Of Black
So, kurz und knackig: UNEARTH hauen anfang Juli mit Darkness In The Light ihren fünften Longplayer (Metal Blade) raus. Aufgenommen wurde das Album in den Zing Studios in Westfield, Massachusetts mit Produzent (und Killswitch Engage Gitarrist) Adam Dutkiewicz. Gemixt wurde dann in den Audiohammer Studios in Sanford, Florida von Mark Lewis (The Black Dahlia Murder, Whitechapel, Trivium, et al). Das Cover ist cool und reiht sich, meiner Meinung nach, ganz gut in die Familie der Vorgänger-Artworks ein. Generel kamen/kommen in der letzten/nächsten Zeit dann doch wieder ein paar tolle Metal Scheiben mit feinen Covern heraus. Siehe REVOCATION – Chaos Of Forms oder auch AUTOPSY – Macabre Eternal ! Nachdem mich persönlich Artworks wie jenes der neuen IN FLAMES – Sounds Of A Playground Fading (mit dem lausigen Raben darauf) eher enttäuschten. Von dem Cover der neuen AMORPHIS mal ganz zu schweigen. Egal. Soundmaterial der neuen UNEARTH gibt es ja dann auch noch. Super !

Hier ein Kommentar von Frontmann Trevor Phipps: “Darkness In The Light is without a doubt some of the heaviest, most dynamic and memorable tunes we’ve ever written. The disc is littered with the shred ‘n’ stomp-filled songs our fans would expect from us, as well as some added vocal hooks, guitar melodies, guitar solos and some different paths taken in style and structure. We knew we had to continue to separate ourselves from the pack and to cement our place in the heavy metal world as one of the leaders and not as one of the many followers that seem to hop on the trend wagon and give up so easily when the going gets hard. We are here to stay and collectively we couldn’t be any more fired up to play these songs around the world for our fans new and old.”
UNEARTH – Geben weitere Tourdates für Europa bekannt
Die angesetzten Dates werden ab Juni stattfinden. Bislang sind 5 Termin für Deutschland bestätigt. Folgendes Statement hinterließ die Band bzgl. der geplanten Shows:
“We apologize as there was some confusion and miscommunication about the Europe dates. The Europe dates are either festival dates or they are shows wither either ATREYU or 36 CRAZYFISTS. The Black Dahlia Murder will not be featured at these shows. You can catch The Black Dahlia Murder with Unearth on the Australia, New Zealand and Japan Dates. Again we apologize for said confusion!”
